Surveillance
We frequently receive phone calls from worried employers who want to know if we can do something about threats from angry employees or displeased suppliers. It is almost impossible for an employer to maintain normal living and working conditions if he or she receives threats from someone with close ties to the company. Often the threats are of a recent date and the person making them practically stands at the front door.
People often underestimate the psychological and emotional strain that is caused by threats; years later, some victims still become frightened from the sound of squeaking brakes, a slamming door, a caller who hangs up the phone immediately or a car that is driving on their tail.
We deal with these cases systematically. When a victim calls in our help, one of our employees immediately begins making an analysis of the threats. The sort of threats, content, frequency, time and other particulars are all noted down. On the basis of this data we work out a plan and take immediate action. We carry out surveillance on one particular spot or we follow you around, we supply chauffeurs and technical aids and we have emergency talks (both within the company as privately).
Another line of approach is to detect a threatening situation in time. In order to prevent security risks we conduct so called ‘awareness surveillances’. The number of surveillances is previously agreed in the contract. The surveillances are conducted in the everyday surroundings of our client. Afterwards we send a concise report with our findings. If necessary we will discuss specific topics with some of your employees, for example security guards of the private security company you employ, but also the gardener, secretary and chauffeur.
You may wonder why it is necessary to speak with a private chauffeur, a gardener or a secretary. We know from previous experience that they in particular see and hear a lot of what is going on around their employer. If you train these employees to stay alert, they will be capable of detecting abnormal and possibly threatening situations. We have a special training programme to train the awareness of your employees. The training consists of two sessions of half a day each; both on the road as in house.
