Registration of Incidents

Quantifying is Knowing
Recently an article about the systematic registration of incidents was published in one of the security magazines.
In our daily practice we notice that only very few companies and organizations concern themselves with the systematic registration of security and/or safety incidents. Generally people hardly ever consider the advantages a good-functioning registration system may offer.

It happens all too often that questions that are posed following incidents, can only be answered poorly, or cannot be answered at all; i.e. questions about all relevant events surrounding an incident. Valuable information, which could have been useful for the police or other investigating bodies is lacking. With all subsequent consequences.

A good registration of incidents makes all events in a company visible and constitutes a basis for monitoring and improvement.

By now a large number of our relations have shifted to an automated registration system, on the basis of our advice. We have specified a number of requirements and wishes to that aim and the results can be called fine. In addition it is good to see that the various systems, developed by several people with various means and possibilities, each time lead to a good result.

We are of course willing to discuss our experiences about this item with you on an informal basis and should you wish so we can demonstrate the convenience of a registration system.
