After having gained 20 years of work experience at Schiphol, at first employed with a governmental body and subsequently with a service company, I decided that it was time to change my working environment and went to Hoffmann Strategic Risk Management® in 1999.
During my first years at Schiphol I was a Military Policeman and subsequently I started at a shipping company at the airport. The latter was a company where rendering service was a top priority. During my last years there I was the Manager Security & Safety.
At a certain moment I thought it time to broaden my horizon and to make a better use of the knowledge and know-how I had acquired. An important consideration for me in choosing a new employer was that he had to offer something extra to my personal development.
The diversity of services and the possibility to take a look behind the scenes in various companies, were for me sufficient reason to choose for Hoffmann Strategic Risk Management®. In addition it is of course very pleasant to work for clients who have already decided that they need an expert opinion in the field of risk management.
Each time it is a great challenge to me to map out the security and safety risks of an organization, and subsequently ensure that this assessment eventually results in a structural approach for the organization to make these risks manageable.
During our risk assessments we for example often notice that companies have paid insufficient attention to company assistance, while the data of the Security Exchange show that many companies surely have the intention to pay attention to the matter.
