Docubox/document analysis

Thanks to our ‘Docubox’, we can now literally bring expense claim and document fraud to light. In emergencies, the compactness of this device means we can even conduct this type of investigation on location ? for example, at your premises or your accountant’s offices.
 
The Docubox uses different types of light in combination with various filters and light perspectives to show how documents have been manipulated. The following are some of the things we can do with the Docubox:

• show that different types of ink/pens were used (deletions, additions). 
• make underlying text visible (hidden under other ink, for example) 
• identify traces of earlier text and/or damage or scratches that show that text has been deleted
• demonstrate the presence or absence of fluorescent marks of authenticity (is it an original or a copy?) 
• demonstrate the presence or absence of other marks of authenticity ? for example, watermarks and security threads in the paper structure 
• show on the underlying document what was written on the document above it (print-through text; for example in a notebook or chequebook) 
• place ostensibly identical documents on top of each other to show (minimal) differences in shape, dimensions, etc.
  
  

We then describe and document all our findings. Moreover, the reports of investigations conducted using the Docubox is are accepted as evidence by the courts.
