Dishonest competition

Knowledge of your product or prices can be to your competitor’s advantage and to your disadvantage. In itself, this is a normal part of business. However, it is not acceptable when your competitor obtains that information dishonestly. Either because an ex-employee (now working for your competitor) has taken that information with him, or because one of your employees is passing on that information or has obtained the information in another illegal way. In the latter case, this might involve corporate espionage, a breach of your network (hacking), social engineering or phishing.
